At Countryview we are prayerfully determined to avoid the denominational confusion that exists today. We have no denominational headquarters or name, but rather we follow the Bible’s model of local church autonomy. It is our desire to wear only the name of Christ, to proclaim only His gospel and to declare loyalty to Him only. Christ prayed for the unity of His followers, this unity is possible if we follow Christ only.
Our Mission Statement – “To know the Christ and to make Him known.”
We strive to be a biblical church where -
Membership is obtained by:
Faith in Jesus as our Personal Savior (Acts 16:31)
Repentance to Christ from Sin (Luke 24:46-48)
Confession of Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9,10)
Baptism for the forgiveness of Sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit.(Acts 2:38)
Growth in Christ toward maturity.(Ephesians 4:13-32, Colossians 3:1-17)
Leadership is essential for service to Christ:
Elders, deacons and teachers are all selected from the congregation according to biblical standards. (Acts 6:1-6, I Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:5-9)
Fellowship is provided for growth in Christ:
Bible study, prayer, youth groups, Sunday school, fellowship times – are all designed to help us grow into His likeness. (Ephesians 4:11-16, 2 Timothy 3:14-17)
Worship is centered in the mighty acts of Christ:
His Death, Burial, Resurrection and Return are remembered by observance of the Lord’s Supper every Lord’s Day. (Acts 20:7, I Corinthians 11:23-28)
Stewardship is considered a sacred trust from Christ:
Our time, ability, money, gifts and our lives are all expressed in our desire for adequate facilities, growth in mission programs and being faithful in ministry.(Matthew 25:40, 28:18-20)
